About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist with experience testing solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and SaaS-based applications. You will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards across both on-premise (BC) and cloud (SaaS) platforms. The ideal candidate is skilled in test planning, execution of manual and automated testing, and ensuring reliable software releases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and consultants, to validate core functionalities, customizations, and end-to-end processes while continuously improving QA practices.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria
- Develop test strategies, plans, and test cases for regression, functional, integration, and performance testing
- Test core Business Central modules (finance, sales, purchasing) and custom extensions
- Perform end-to-end process testing and data validation in Business Central
- Create and maintain manual and automated test suites for SaaS applications
- Conduct UI/UX, functional, and API integration testing across multiple browsers and devices
- Leverage tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks for test automation
- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
- Configure and maintain test environments in both local and cloud-based setups
- Log, track, and prioritize defects; contribute to root cause analysis and risk assessment
- Standardize QA best practices and maintain up-to-date test documentation
- Communicate QA progress and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Mentor junior QA team members on best practices for BC and SaaS testing
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company QA policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in software QA, ideally in ERP or SaaS environments
- Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV) and/or other ERP systems
- Familiarity with SaaS testing including functional, integration, and performance testing
- Proficiency with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or TFS for defect tracking
- Experience using test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
- Understanding of CI/CD tools like Azure Pipelines or Jenkins
- Basic SQL skills for data validation and query-based testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in cross-functional and distributed team environments
- Preferred: experience customizing BC (AL language), working with APIs/Postman, or holding ISTQB/QA certifications
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) is a plus
